My 2 stories from Chicken Soup for the Soul Vol. 3
After I interviewed Mark Victor Hansen and Jack Canfield for my book, Success Secrets of the Motivational Superstars, Mark called me up and asked if I had any stories to contribute to Vol. 3 of their Chicken Soup for the Soul Series.
I submitted two stories and both were included in the book. Jack later told me at an event that the first story, "How Magic Helped a Blind Girl See" had received a lot of positive feedback. Both stories are below. Enjoy!

Some comments on my
"Success" articles from many years ago
Before being drawn to the spiritual path, I was a motivational junkie. Big time. I had over 500 books on goal setting, time management, self image, positive self-esteem and positive self-talk. Not to mention over 100 six cassette "success" audio tape albums from the Nightingale-Conant company.
Hey, when you believe you are this "entity," this fictitious-self, that somehow is "not good enough" ("Not good enough for what??" my mind thinks now!), you will apparently spend a great deal of time and money trying to make this fictitious-self try to feel better about itself!
However, since "you" don't exist in the first place, every attempt is bound to end in failure. However, the mind is nothing if not persistent. And so, it's off seeking the next concept in hopes that THAT will finally be the one to give the false-self the peace it is ultimately searching for.
All that said, if one understands that it's all just a game ONENESS is playing with itself, then creating things can be fun! The "secret" is to not be attached to the creation. From the Universe's perspective, there is absolutely no difference between a 100 story sky scraper and a 10 inch sand castle. Both eventually return from whence they came.
